Investigators are looking for a semitruck involved in a hit-and-run that killed a woman near Moab over the weekend. A motorist discovered the woman's body a short distance from her vehicle on state Route 191, 12 miles north of Moab about 7 a.m. Sunday, according to a press release from the Grand County Sheriff's Office.
A 20-year-old man was arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy in South Salt Lake two weeks ago. Joshua Jaeshawn Park was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of murder and discharge of a firearm in connection with the death of Alan Hernandez Lopez. Police believe the fatal confrontation was the result of two people who had no prior association with each other, flashing rival gang signs.

There is an active search for a woman with felony warrants who led police on a chase through Draper, police say. According to Draper Police, an officer spotted a man driving a stolen Volkswagen near Potato Hill Trailhead and pulled him over. As officers put him in cuffs, they say the woman jumped from the passenger’s seat of the vehicle to the driver’s seat and drove off.

Four juveniles were taken into custody early Tuesday morning after leading police on a short pursuit and crashing a stolen vehicle in West Valley, police said. Officers saw a vehicle run a red light near 3900 South and 4800 West around 2 a.m., according to West Valley police Sgt. Jacob Hill. When police attempted to perform a traffic stop, a short pursuit ensued. The vehicle tires were spiked around 4300 South and the vehicle slid into a snowbank shortly after, Hill said.
A man was booked into jail Saturday night after police say he assaulted a police officer, leaving the officer a concussion. This was all a result of an ongoing infant death investigation. West Valley Police say they were approached by the Unified Police Department, involved in an active investigation into the death of a 2-month-old infant at St. Mark’s Hospital.

A silver Dodge truck and a maroon passenger car were at the intersection of 1000 North & Main Street in Tooele, traveling northbound.

Investigators are looking for clues to what started a fire at a reception center in Salt Lake City Thursday morning. Firefighters received a call of dense smoke coming from a building at 309 W. 1500 South around 1:40 a.m., according to a press release from the Salt Lake Fire Department.
