1 day agoSalt Lake City, Utah — Salt Lake City police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred late Friday night, both resulting in fatalities. Authorities are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incidents.

SaltLakeCity 732 S 400 E. @slcpd @slcfire responded on a vehicle fire. Officer arrived and looked inside to see if anyone was in it. Fire quickly arrived and extinguished the flames. No injuries.
2 day agoWest Valley City 3300 S 1200 W. Police were following a StolenVehicle. The male driver did a couple zig zag turns and eventually went EB on 3500 S. He turned down a dead end road/bailed on foot. They setup containment & within 15 min the driver was in custody.

2 week agoSalt Lake City 1700 S Main St. Multiple slcpd units responded to assist other officers who were on scene of a fight. Several officers were exposed to pepper spray. EMS responded to treat them. Police were able to get the fight under control within minutes.
Three people were arrested by Orem police earlier this week and are currently facing charges of using counterfeit money after police reportedly saw the suspects buying items with the counterfeit bills

2 week agoI-80 MM-102 EB. A semi with 2 trailers has crashed, rolled over, and caught fire. Trooper on scene advises reports that the driver was trapped. All EB traffic is being diverted to U-201 EB.
