Multiple people have been detained after a shooting in West Valley City Thursday evening, according to the West Valley City Police Department
Officers are investigating two shots fired incidents where it appears people from two different vehicles fired shots near 3500 S 3200 W. Multiple people have been detained while officers work to determine what happened and if/how the incidents are related.
3 month agoShotsFired 3500 S 3200 W. WestValley Police on scene of a possible Shooting. This possibly started after an accident. The victim drove to a nearby business and called police.
SaltLakeCity 500 W 400 S. SLCFD arrived to a commercial structure with heavy smoke. Crews made fast attack and set up a water supply for a quick knock down. No injuries reported. Hazmat14 is responding due to possible chemicals inside. Command just advised UnderControl.

4 month agoNORAD confirms intercepting balloon. Fighters caught up with it over Utah between 43-45k feet. Deemed not a threat to air traffic. Source describes the payload as ~2 foot cube under a Mylar balloon. Continues to move east fast thanks to a strong jet stream. NORAD statement

SLC HouseFire SLCFD dispatched to 1599 S Major St on a house fire. On arrival they located fire in the attic/roof. After a few minutes fire was out and under control. No reports of injuries. SLCPD is providing traffic control in the area

4 month agoSLC 200 S 600 W Police received a report of ShotsFired in the area. Shell casings were possibly located in the roadway. While enrt officers were advised of an AutoPed in the same area. It sounds like the vehicle involved in the ShotsFired incident
WestJordan HouseFire 5250 W Crus Corvi Rd. WJFD is on scene of a house fire. Interior advises they have a smoldering fire in the attic space. They have a primary all clear and power has been cut to the house. This sounds like they caught it in time/should be minimal damage

4 month agoFatalCrash SLCPD 120 S 5600 W on the 5600 W Overpass. Crews responded on a Rollover involving 2 vehicles. 1 person has passed away on scene and the other 2 involved have serious injuries but not life threatening
4 month agoHouseFire Kearns 6008 Loder Drive. 2nd Alarm HouseFire. This originated in the garage and extended to the living space. Due to HeavyFire crews went Defensive. No injuries were reported. Fire crews were dispatched at approximately 2055.

4 month agoOfficer Involved Shooting South Salt Lake The American Fork Police and Utah Major Crimes Task Force Was investigating a vehicle taken from an #AmericanFork Tow lot after it was impounded. The investigation led them to the apt complex where an individual was located inside the stolen vehicle. A #FootPursuit ensued were police reported #ShotsFired. The suspect was #Shot and transported in unknown condition to a local hospital.

Hurricane Fire 6232 W 135 N St Hurricane, UT 84737 Details that the fuse box possibly popped causing a small fire in a 4 plex middle unit. They were able to see smoke in the garage. 1 male needs medical attention due to hand burns/smoke inhalation. Fire quickly extinguished
